On the 28th of November we conducted seminar titled ‘Marketing on a Shoestring Budget’ for CEOs of small businesses. Visiting the website of the attendees was a revealing experience. Quite a few of the websites frankly need to be redone. Some of them were vanilla websites while others were expensive and well designed ones. Common denominator in most of the websites is either the contents leave much to be desired or the design was made with no understanding about the search engines, or both. (more…)

In India, like any other place in the world, a Non IT start up at small to medium scale happens because the promoter actually knows to do something. Period. IT start up happens in two forms. One the start up entrepreneur actually knows to do something. A successful Navision resource takes up Microsoft Dynamics Partnership and starts running. Two, the startup entrepreneur thinks he has a bright idea that mitigates an existing pain point or opens up new vistas. I can’t really think of any other reason to get into startup eco-system. Two Goodies and a Back Flip

I chanced on to Mikogo and tried it in conjunction with Skype. Excellent tool. I can set up a meeting and get all my participants to see my monitor in their screen real time while voice of the participants is carried via a Skype Conference. Scope, obviously is infinite. There are other tools. But this one is simple and free. I am not elaborating further since I plan a separate post on Mikogo.

Second is the personal income tax calculator for salaried persons provided by Y.Nithyanandan  in his web site for the past, may be twelve years. Freely downloadable. (more…)

Internationally reputed principals reaching out to India through an SPV which is a wholly owned subsidiary. Excellent third world pricing. Huge and growing oligopoly market. Enviable list of past customers. Great Patrons. Esteem value to customers. You name it, it is already present – except success commensurate with the standing of the parent company. (more…)
